Pregnancy, the most beautiful period in a womans life.Full of dreams and loads of expectations.Dreaming whether it is a boy or a girl, how she/he will look, what name to keep, what things to buy for him.
My pregnancy was also filled with loads of dreams and some unexpected twists.I went to Dr.Mala of Vijaya Hospital, I read about the Dr. in the internet and since hospital is near my house, my hubby was very particular to go to Vijaya Hospital.Initially there was lots of confusion, regarding how will the checkups and delivery be as I am the first person in my house to go to a hospital other then Kalyani Nuring Home.
During the checkups I heard a lot of people in my neighbouring giving good reviews about Dr. Mala, that boosted my spirit specially my moms.Checkups went on fine till my 8th month, I finished 15 days chkup also and was to begin my weekly check up.
It was in the mid of 8th month I got my itching, everybody said it is normal during pregnancy, but itching was too much and it was all over the body, finally after much hesitation went to Dr. regarding the same, they asked me to take blood test to check the billrubin level(normally related to Liver Functioning). The result showed, my values were much higher then the normal value, even this was common during pregnancy itseems, still for further confirmation they asked me to take Serum Bile acid Test.
This test was available only in apollo, Thanks to my Usha Anni, with her help we got the test done and the result by afternoon. That test also showed higher value, when asked over phone to my Duty Dr. she asked us to come on Saturday a non OP day to consult Dr. Mala. I was worried because generally they dont ask consultation with Dr. Mala Unless complicated.Jan 28 was spent restlessly.
Jan 29, the day when I came to know, my baby will be born a month ahead all for MY SAKE, THANQ MY SON.Dr. Mala came in with the duty Dr. and said, we shall have the delivery in 4 days, that is what we generaly we do for this kind of cases. She was so casual and very clear, I was perplexed, dint expect something like that so early, I just nodded. She said we shall go for normal delivery by inducing else let us see, she dint say C-section at all, I liked her confidence. She is a lady of few words, but crystal clear, with no ambiguity.
Feb 1, Tuesday I was admitted, 2.30 pm they applied the first gel to induce pain, but in vain, then after 6 hours night 8.30pm again they applied gel, there was slight pain, then the third gel in the morning 2.30 am, pain reduced, so 4 th and final gel at 8am feb2, there was not much reaction, then they did IV, alas pain started. My mom and hubby were at the emergency room entrance to know what is happening to me, wether delivery is normal or C-Section as the time was nearing 12.pm the threshold time to wait for normal delivery. Duty Dr. told them itseems, she is getting pain let us see. At 12.10 they took me to the labour ward, I gave birth to a BABY BOY at 12.20 normally, Thanks to Dr. Mala, Team of Duty Drs and nurses, all were so kind to me.
Loads of Thanks to the maternity department of Vijaya Hospital, I am sure I shall go to Dr. Mala for my next Delivery also :)
