Special Thanks to Dr.Mala of Vijaya Hospital

Pregnancy, the most beautiful period in a womans life.Full of dreams and loads of expectations.Dreaming whether it is a boy or a girl, how she/he will look, what name to keep, what things to buy for him.

My pregnancy was also filled with loads of dreams and some unexpected twists.I went to Dr.Mala of Vijaya Hospital, I read about the Dr. in the internet and since hospital is near my house, my hubby was very particular to go to Vijaya Hospital.Initially there was lots of confusion, regarding how will the checkups and delivery be as I am the first person in my house to go to a hospital other then Kalyani Nuring Home.

During the checkups I heard a lot of people in my neighbouring giving good reviews about Dr. Mala, that boosted my spirit specially my moms.Checkups went on fine till my 8th month, I finished 15 days chkup also and was to begin my weekly check up.

It was in the mid of 8th month I got my itching, everybody said it is normal during pregnancy, but itching was too much and it was all over the body, finally after much hesitation went to Dr. regarding the same, they asked me to take blood test to check the billrubin level(normally related to Liver Functioning). The result showed, my values were much higher then the normal value, even this was common during pregnancy itseems, still for further confirmation they asked me to take Serum Bile acid Test.
This test was available only in apollo, Thanks to my Usha Anni, with her help we got the test done and the result by afternoon. That test also showed higher value, when asked over phone to my Duty Dr. she asked us to come on Saturday a non OP day to consult Dr. Mala. I was worried because generally they dont ask consultation with Dr. Mala Unless complicated.Jan 28 was spent restlessly.

Jan 29, the day when I came to know, my baby will be born a month ahead all for MY SAKE, THANQ MY SON.Dr. Mala came in with the duty Dr. and said, we shall have the delivery in 4 days, that is what we generaly we do for this kind of cases. She was so casual and very clear, I was perplexed, dint expect something like that so early, I just nodded. She said we shall go for normal delivery by inducing else let us see, she dint say C-section at all, I liked her confidence. She is a lady of few words, but crystal clear, with no ambiguity.

Feb 1, Tuesday I was admitted, 2.30 pm they applied the first gel to induce pain, but in vain, then after 6 hours night 8.30pm again they applied gel, there was slight pain, then the third gel in the morning 2.30 am, pain reduced, so 4 th and final gel at 8am feb2, there was not much reaction, then they did IV, alas pain started. My mom and hubby were at the emergency room entrance to know what is happening to me, wether delivery is normal or C-Section as the time was nearing 12.pm the threshold time to wait for normal delivery. Duty Dr. told them itseems, she is getting pain let us see. At 12.10 they took me to the labour ward, I gave birth to a BABY BOY at 12.20 normally, Thanks to Dr. Mala, Team of Duty Drs and nurses, all were so kind to me.

Loads of Thanks to the maternity department of Vijaya Hospital, I am sure I shall go to Dr. Mala for my next Delivery also :)

Energy Boosters- Who are they?

Enery Boosters, these people are necessary to drive our spirit when its down. They appreciate us on every small good thing we do.They are always near us to give a gentle tap on our shoulders saying "Good Work, WellDone".

Where can we find them? Within each one of us. Take some time to appreciate others, their cute actions. Just a phone call, a mail, if you see them in person a happy note on the same, will drive them. These small deeds of us will bring smile in the face of others, that is worth a million.

Appreciating any small action, is not humiliation... There are people who will look differently at you.But indeed they will feel happy when others recognize their action.

So let us all try to be Enery Boosters bringing positive vibration around us.

Telling Lies No Papa

This is a sentence from the kindergarden Rymes, I am sure 99%of us will remember. As we grow older we just remember it as a rymes but forget the real meaning of it.In the current world hiding the TRUTH and telling loads of lies has become the essence of life.

I Hate telling lies, for me hiding things and pretending is the worst of all crimes. There is something which always prick me, I have seen a lot of people who speak 0 TRUTH, but lead quite Happy life, they get what they want, they are even been beleived. In many situations I had grumbled saying "no use telling the truth", people around dont even know the difference between truth and lie, they appreciate liars very often.

I happened to read "Arthamulla Hindumatham" by Kavingar Kannnadasan, there I found the solution for my doubt.Liars though they are accepted and appreciated in the present, they will face the consequence for there doing in the near future, if not them there children will happen to suffer for there wrong doings.Truth Always Wins.

Telling lies for no noble cause is neither smartness nor shrewdness, it is pure cowardice, inability of a person to face the world boldly. In the course of time he loses his originality and lives a lie.Let us be brave enough to stand by truth at all times.

3 Idiots- Should watch

I never watch Hindi Movies, because I dont know Hindi. My husband suggested we should see 3 Idiots, I was like Okkk.As it was quite boring I tried an online version of it.The Movie was really EXCELLENT.I was too impressed by the Movie and that made me pen this post.

Hats off to the Director Mr.Hirani, the way he has done the screenplay is too good.Making a film from a book is too difficult, I think he has done justice to the book(I dint read it).

Castings are apt, the three idiots, the silencer, professor mainly. The way they have said the FlashBack is interesting there is no drop in the tempo.

Usually in Tamil cinemas except few, Story is for the hero, everything revolves around him. Here story is the Hero and Amir Khan has been moulded as ranchoor. The story appears to be taken from real life(some engineer). They have potrayed exactly an Engineering college.

Planning to Shift?- Some tips for u

Planning to shift ur things from one city to another within India, then I think my experience will help you.

We shifted our house from Bangalore to Chennai. I called up nearly 7 to 8 packers and movers and asked for quotation. The price they quoted varied from 7500 to 13000. Things at home weren't much, so I bargained(In India anything shud be bargained else we will be fooled) and made it as 5500 with Chennai Packers and movers.

On the day of packing, nearly 5-6 people came home and started packing simultaneously. Some of the very important things that we should note are:

1. While packing washing machine- ask them to use the carton that came with machine, especially a square shaped thermocol should be placed at the bottom of the machine, else the motor will be affected.
2. For refrigerator again use its carton, remove the bushes at the bottom else u will not get them when delivered
3. For kitchen utensils ask them to fill in the cartons properly, else they will just half fill them just to increase the count.
4. Glass items- one person should stand with them, ask them to cover it with paper/cloth and pack it safely so that it doesnt get damaged.
5. After packing, just number the cartons and make a note of the items.

The packers will confirm even promise that the things will be delivered the next day, but I guarantee you, it will take atleast a couple of days, for which u have to continuosly call them and track.

One thing that I learnt is, packers are least bothered about the condition of the goods delivered, it is our responsibilty to have sufficient people at home to monitor each packing, even then on delivery you will find some cartons torn, GOD only knows whether any small items were droped on its way.

Take care have a safe packing and moving of ur House hold items.....

YerCaud- Away from buzzing Activity

From Bangalore to Yercaud what a drastic difference, from pollutions of all form to peace and serinity.
From Bangalore we took a bus to Salem around 5 hours journey, from there 1 hr up the hill to Yercaud. There is nothing special to see in Yercaud, actually we dint go there for site seeing, it was just a trip to forget all our tension and pressure. For Relaxation taking a cottage in Lake Forest hotel of Indeco Groups is really worth.

The Hotel is Very English, you will get the feeling of getting into British India. Each Room is so unique, each of them have private space, no storeys. Every Room has Potraits of British India, then old modeled Clocks none shows actual time so dont forget to take ur wrist watch, else u will be lost. There are three kinds of rooms- Bangalow suite, English and Royal Suite.

We took a Bangalow suite, were not that happy about it, then they gave us a Royal suite at the same price on our request(It was Off Peak season). Royal Suite was really Royal, beautifully designed King sized Bed, Dressing Table, Dinning Table, sofa ,easy chair etc. There were huge French Windows with curtains, just push them to view a beatiful scenary. Lying in the cozy chair and gazing thru the window at the greenary, I wanna spend all my life there, I LUV it.

We took walk thru the hotel at night, early morning and evening, it was refreshing. Chatting with your hubby, walking thru the pathway, climbing stairs , holding his hands, taking rest on different modeled seats, lying on his shoulders......what else you want, I enjoyed it.....

I wanna go there to have a tea and forget the whole world

To go away from this buzzing city and have a relaxing time with your loved ones, Yercaud-Lake forest hotel is a good choice.

Go Creative with ur Kids

I have thought about this particular topic many time, but only now i am penning it out.

Kids are the source of creativity, it is the responsibility of the parents to nuture it and grow it to great heights. No child is a dull headed when it is born, it is the brought up that changes it.

I have come across some interesting parents who indulge their kids in various activities, that helps them to grow as a better creater and inovator.I like to share some activities that cud be of some use to young mothers.

For kutties between 1 to 3 years
This is the time when they absorb everything wat u do and grow up.So should teach them good things.Teach them words with actions and expressions, over expression is good at some times.Eg: Say Hello and ask them to give a handshake, next time we say hello the kid automatically stretches its hands.Show pictures and tell the names of the flowers, animals etc.Sing some rhymes, alphabets etc, though they might not repeat it, they will always remember.Night time story or a song is very important, it should be a good one bcos it is when the child is about to sleep the sub-concious mind will be awake, whatever you tell them that time will be in their hearts forever and ever.

To impress your child when they are grown; Take snaps of all the mischieve things they do at this 1-3 year, put them in her album with appropriate comments, they will certainly enjoy after some 10-15 years.Record their voices, their cry, laughter at intrevals and preserve them.

Age 3 to 7 Learning age
This is the time when the creativity of the kid reaches peaks, allow her to explore, never stop them.
  • Spend some time every day, ask them to draw, color anything they want, appreciate them for it, reward them with small gifts, most important of all is to preserve their work. Pick some of their best art, do a hand frame at home and put it in their room, even hall they will be really happy.
  • Make their hand print with different color on a chart, frame it and put it on the wall.
  • Do some paper art
  • Do some clay models put them on the showcase
  • Ask them to design a handkercheif, their t-shirts etc
  • Make them learn their lessons with interest, never force them, drive away the fear of exams, make them enjoy learning.
  • Ask them to create several albums with different topics, flowers, animals etc, with pictures from newspaper magazine etc.
  • Tell them about various musical instruments, and find out the one they like and put them to classes.
  • Play with them, allow them to play with other kids only then they will learn to give and take.
  • Allow them to do wat they like , just with an eye on them so that they dont indulge in wron doings.
  • First of all, to teach values to them, we should follow it.

Enjoy being a parent, first of all we should be ready to learn a lot before teaching them, keep your mind open your kids may teach you that u havent known for so long.

Enjoy Parenting..................................
